    I think what some people do is just post their welcome ANSI as an Ad.

    Nope, just cosmetic noise. Synchronet doesn't expand @-codes in messages unless the message was posted by the local sysop, for security reasons.

    I think what some people do is just post their welcome ANSI as an Ad.

    In this case, no, I am actually doing that on purpose. It pauses the
    screen on this end, which is good, and it pauses it on my non-synchronet
    board, which is good. While it turns out to be non-functional on most any other board is unfortunate but also understandable. :)
