I don't down vote your stuff.

In fact, in all seriousness, I hate downvoting systems and personally refuse to use them in any case other than one exception - corporate media and pop culture on a whole. On a person-by-person basis I find "downvoting," regardless of what value it may or may not have, a worthless action that contributes less than nothing.

By comparison when you post at worst it might be something that ticks someone else off, but it's still more valuable than some random down vote. Always will be.

People are more valuable than the sum of some random statistics.

    Rob,

It shouldn't. What kinds of errors (examples)?

I think it's with the voting deals:

    Fri Oct 16 12:25:12 2020

evnt QNET !ERROR 2 (No such file or directory) (WinError 183) in qwk.cpp
line 11136 (sbbs_t::qwk_vote) checking "conference number (voting not
    allowed)" access=2007 info vote:<5F89A0EF.39903.sync@vert.synchro.net>

Several entries have started with the same day and time.

Then, everything is the same until right after starting with info vote:

There's a different numeric sequence, and "echo tag" (not sure what else
to describe it as) and a different BBS, such as:

    dove-syncdisc@palantirbbs.ddns.net
    dove-syncdisc@finalzone.ddns.net
    dove_sync@digitaldistortionbbs.com
    dove-general@spaceSST.com

I think it all boils down to "not allowing voting", and I'm not sure
where the setting is in SCFG offhand. But, I'd only have it for verified
    users in good standing.

Regardless, I have numerous entries of that in the error.log file, and
I've had to continually trim it.

that's why I ended up writing my own, and then another, and another,
    and another.

I admit I used it at first, but it didn't allow things like logging
on via telnet, or doing the doorgames, as yours does.

Best not give him anymore airtime then, even by discussing him in the third person. I can't tell at this point if it's really him or someone having fun with his account. It was amusing to have a bit of banter for
a while, but it's worn thin and gotten a bit sad.

That it has. I have seen some messages in some echoes that got addressed
to the sender (as the recipient), but those were few and far between.
Seeing at least a half dozen messages to and from him, in succession, is
    a bit much.
