    What do you mean can't access outside?

    Non-Tutonota users can read your messages as long as they use
    the Tutonota gateway/interfaces, no? And that seems to be
    required inorder to retain the privacy that the whole system is
    about.

    Tutanota seems to work a lot like Protonmail. But with
    Protonmail I can send a message unencrypted and it will reach
    it's intended user without further action required. If I send
    an encrypted message, I need to establish a password that the
    recipient can use when they want to read the mail.

    Or have a flag where non-encrypted messages are downloaded and the encrypted messages are left on the server.
