The exchange is easy, just Call Sign, RST, QTH and it's a pretty fun Special Event with a sort of contesty feel the way collecting cards or POG or Pokemon, scavenger hunt was fun.
I'm going to try and do it all QRP/CW this year. They seem to operate on all modes and most bands and there are a few special stations representing Britain, France and a Philadelphia station. DXSummit spotting is encouraged.
It's even encouraged that SWL can play along. Even if you don't have a good set up at home I'd suggest using one of the great software defined radio options on line, just pick a "home base" stations and see what you can find with it.
