• Doing netmail test

From Khronos@21:2/153 to All on Wed Apr 12 18:34:55 2023

Would anyone be willing to do a netmail test with me?
I tried to send a message to myself on another system, but the message never made it there.
My sbbsecho says the message got packed up and sent out, but I don't know what happened after that.

    Thanks,

You can send a netmail message to ping@21:1/100 or ping@21:3/100 and it will auto-respond to you. A good way to test both inbound and outbound netmail.

Either way I'll send you a netmail message now.

    Hi,
I got your netmail, but not sure it made it out to you.
Tried the ping address you suggested and did not get anything back.
Also seeing if I can get some support for this issue over on Dovenet where all the Synchronet guys hang out.

I see this, but I don't have a netmail from you yet.

I tried to send a message to myself on another system, but the message never made it there.

I just sent you a netmail reply to this message. If you get it you can reply and I'll let you know if I see it.

My sbbsecho says the message got packed up and sent out, but I don't know what happened after that.

Stuff like that can be hard (but not impossible) to track down. You can have a look in your sbbsecho.log and see where the message was sent, and then check also the mailer log and see if it was actually delivered to the right place.

You can send a ping@21:3/100 to Hub 3, it'll reply back to you as soon as it is received.
